Welcome to Alameda Aikikai!

Alameda Aikikai offers beginning through advanced classes in aikido and weapons, as well as Zazen meditation.

Alameda Aikikai was established by Mike Flynn, Shihan in January 1991 and is affiliated with Birankai North America under the direction of T.K. Chiba, Shihan.

Chief Instructor Elmer Tancinco, 4th degree black belt, Shidoin, studied directly under Mike Flynn, Shihan. He is also a graduate of the Kenshusei program, a rigorous teacher training program for dedicated practitioners of the art who are devoted to transmitting and preserving aikido.
